The GDMBR Terminus Boundary Monument at the Columbus / Mexico border

We have fully embraced serving our Bikepacking Adventurer Cyclists, including constructing and dedicating a GDMBR Boundary Marker at our 24/7/365 Port of Entry to Palomas, Mexico, and honoring them with a GDMBR Medallion to all who begin or finish their trek in Columbus.

In addition to welcoming our “Starters or Finishers” with open arms, we’re also committed to providing the services needed to bid you “Good Luck or Congratulations!”

“Biker Bob” Sanders sets the Guinness World Record for oldest person to ride coast-to-coast across America!

The Village of Columbus is also an oasis situated on the Coast-to-coast Southern Route. We had the great honor to host Bob Sanders during his successful Guinness Book of World Records attempt at being the oldest person to complete the challenge.  and we also cater to supporting them with special hotel and camping packages.

To receive your medallion simply stop by Village Hall with your bike and a smile for the picture! And be sure to follow this blog to see others who took on the GDMBR. Each one is highlighted on our Facebook page “Eye on Columbus”. Bookmark them both now!
