LUNA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — 110 years after the fateful day of Pancho Villa’s raid on the Village of Columbus, Pancho Villa State Park is commemorating the anniversary with “Camp Furlong Day.” That’s this Saturday, March 14.
The annual event offers an opportunity to explore the site where the raid happened in 1916. Throughout the day, visitors can participate in ranger-led tours and view exhibits showcasing Camp Furlong’s role during the raid – plus, Luna County’s longest horse parade.
