Columbus Puts the WILD in the WILD WILD WEST!
You never know what you’re going to run into living in the historic borderlands of Columbus, New Mexico!
I was working around the property the other day when I came across a rather feisty bullsnake that wasn’t the least bit happy to see me!
This fellow made it perfectly clear that I wasn’t welcome in his personal space!
Bullsnakes are nonvenomous, but they can put on quite a defensive display when they feel threatened. They’re also an important part of our desert ecosystem, helping control rodent populations.
And apparently, people love watching them!
My little wildlife encounter attracted more than 67,000 Facebook views and 300 new followers!
